The Fintech Meetup has 50 percent young women workforce however one thing clearly kept on coming from them was the need for network to multiply the opportunities.

At the same point of time during The Fintech Yatra we kept on meeting 400+ Fintech founders but women participation was always less then 5 percent. Keeping all this in mind we decided to have few focus group discussions on what kind of meet-up we can put together for Women Fintech founders. The one that doesn't follow cliched path and bring real material value to the conversation.

Below mentioned are few key points to ponder:

• Mentorship - Consistency is one of the biggest factors to accomplishments and it can be pursued by having a mentor through the journey. The forum will make an attempt to connect select founders and senior women mentors (i.e., CEOs and COOs) who can get along for an 30 minute to an hour conversation each month for a period of 1 year to discuss challenges and hurdles in solving problems and achieving results.


• Business Development Networking: The forum will bring women professionals and Fintech founders come together to have one-on-one discussions on business development opportunities.


• Venture investing network - While the number of women Fintech founders is limited the number of women investors is even lesser. The forum will perform two key activities - (1). Detailed workshop/masterclass during the first half of the event bringing basics of venture investing to women. (2). Speed venture dating.


• Career Opportunities: Finally, can the forum help the female founder to motivate other women who are willing to make a shift in their professional life (we believe venturing in startups could be first step in journey towards starting up) or women who want to restart after a long career break but were not able to connect with expected profiles.


• And off course beyond this we will have sessions on payment, lending, financial inclusion and insurance.
